The retreat begins in Abu Simbel, then journeys northward by river, retracing an ancient initiatory route through Nubia back to Aswan.

Yes. Most travelers need a tourist visa to enter Egypt. You can obtain one upon arrival at Cairo Airport or apply online for an e-visa in advance. We recommend the e-visa for smoother entry.
